INTERIOR PAINTING – TYPE OF PAINT AND COLOR
First, you will need to choose the type of paint. There are two main types of paint: oil-based and water-based. Water-based paint is the most common type and is easier to clean up. Oil-based paint is more durable and can be used for high-traffic areas. Shoot us a text if you have a question on this

Once you have chosen the paint and color, it is time to prepare the surface. You will need to sand the walls and remove any old paint or wallpaper. If you are painting over a dark color, you may want to primer the walls first.
This will allow the new or updated color or surface to adhere correctly and works much better for longevity to avoid any future peeling or flaking paint from underneath.
INTERIOR PAINTING TIME
Now it is time to start painting! Begin by cutting in around the edges of the room with a brush. Then, fill in the rest of the wall with a roller. Be sure to use even strokes and paint in the same direction. “always keep a wet edge” meaning when you are cutting and rolling trying to paint wet to wet

CLEANING UP
Once you have finished painting, you will need to clean up. If you are using water-based paint, simply wash the brushes and rollers with soap and water. If you are using oil-based paint, you will need to use mineral spirits to clean the brushes and rollers.
Painting equipment isn’t necessarily cheap but if you take good care of you it you can use it many many times. As a business owner and someone who holds the brush a lot, I have a few “old faithfuls”
